How close could vacationers want a hotel to be? The AmeriSuites Orlando Universal is only a half mile stroll from Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure, a mile from CityWalk, and six miles from SeaWorld. The hotel even offers shuttles to the theme parks. What's more, the I Ride Trolley operates from early morning to midnight along the six mile International Drive, with its many shopping, dining and entertainment attractions. The trolley stops in front of the AmeriSuites and also links to a public bus that zips directly to Disney's World's Transportation Center. Children under 12 ride the trolley free. Guests can start their mornings out with complimentary continental breakfasts and then, upon returning from the sites, relax at an outdoor pool and sundeck or work out in the fitness center. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, but sits near many well known eateries serving everything from burgers to pizza. The hotel also provides a laundry room and coffee in the lobby around the clock. For sports enthusiasts, they'll find plenty to do at Orlando's water parks and the area has nearly as many championship golf courses as tourists. Suites include separate sitting areas, wet bars, refrigerators, microwave ovens, TVs with VCRs, video game consoles, movies and high speed Internet access. Pets weighing up to 30 pounds are allowed, but they and their masters will get smoking rooms in case Fido wants to light up.
